Ara que Maria ha aprovat les oposicions i ha aconseguit (per fi!) una plaça fixa, la seva vida de mestra hauria de ser meravellosa. Ja no ha de recórrer uns trenta-cents quilòmetres per fer classes a la Conchinchina, i això d’estudiar de dilluns a diumenge és cosa del passat. No obstant, només començar el curs, tot es complica.
No es tracta d’una enrabiada de principiant; és que ja no pot més. Al nou centre se sent més perduda que un pop en un garatge, i no només perquè li hagi tocat la classe més revoltosa o perquè la directora sigui un autèntic desastre…
Per molt bones que siguin les intencions de Maria, res no sembla anar-hi bé: la seva paral·lela li fa la vida impossible, els pares confabulen en contra al grup de Whatsapp, ia l’hort escolar que ha muntat no creixen més que males herbes…
A més, i per si no n’hi hagués prou amb sobreviure al dia a dia, aquest any us ha tocat organitzar l’acampada de fi de curs! I és que, per molta experiència que tingui, una mestra mai no deixa d’aprendre.
